During the event, we will provide useful Thai phrases to assist you in communicating with the locals, as well as basic cultural etiquette and travel tips.

CoLab internal meeting on creating a social justice in Monterey module for study away students.

Join the Red Cross Club in-person or online for a Hands-Only CPR Training! Learn this useful life skill in 50 minutes with Red Cross volunteer, Dennis Alexander. Dennis will discuss the Red Cross, how you can get involved, and how you can save a life with hands-only CPR. If attending virtually, register for our event on Handshake to receive a Zoom link. The movie screening of “The Laundromat” will follow a discussion about what we learned about financial crimes from the movie and pizza will be served with some nonalcoholic drinks. This is an in person event.

Step inside your Comfort Zone - in the Simoneau house! On Monday, May 8th, will be transformed into a space which soothes your senses. Calming music, zero gravity chairs, aromatherapy, fresh flowers, and healthy snacks will be on hand for those stressful moments during finals. Create a soothing spray or lotion to take home and enjoy, or just take a nap and call it a day!

We are hosting professionals working in different positions in the localization industry, including program management, engineering, quality management, and sales to join the panel discussion to share their typical days at work and their career development stories.

Congratulations TLM Graduates! In honor of your achievements, all graduation TLM students are invited to attend the TLM Graduation Celebration to recollect on your time at MIIS and have fun with your peers.

We will be hosting workshop on learning how to crochet. This is open to all levels! Supplies will be provided for in-person students, and a supply list and Zoom link will be available for those online.

Join the International Cultural Gatherings Club for Cuisine Night ! Make and share your favorite dish from around the world or come to learn and enjoy new foods and meet some of our local Monterey community and MIIS Alumni! Bringing a dish is recommended, but not required. This event will be held at East Village Cafe (498 Washington St, Monterey, CA 93940).
