The security risks posed by a protracted fight with ISIS converged on November 13th in the first large-scale terrorist attack in Paris, killing 129 people and injuring over 300. Experts had been warning of the possibility that terrorists could pose as refugees in order to carry out attacks in the West, of inter-European terrorist cells coordinating cross-border attacks, and of the growing incidence of homegrown terrorists—the attacks in Paris had facets of each.

Join TSC in welcoming NPTS Student Phil Goldstein, who will explain his Spring 2016 IPSS assignment, assessing the Chemical and Biological Weapons-related benefits and risks of microfluidics, an emerging technology, and providing subsequent policy recommendations. Pizza will be served!
