The Geospatial Skills and Analytical Tools club will be holding their first happy hour fundraiser on April 13, 2017, at Cibo Restaurant. We will be using these funds to host our very first event with the support of the INMM Club on April 28th.

Join us for this thought-provoking seminar where we’ll explore the characteristics and likely causes of procrastination, the inner-workings of what is occurring for us behind the scenes and several tools that can help us overcome procrastination.
MIIS Alumnus Dan Gifford will lead the geek out on cyber hygiene. At the outset of the geek out, those in attendance should leave with a better understanding of how to ensure their online security. A best practices approach, tasks covered will include: using a firewall, updating virus definitions, running security scans, selecting and maintaining passwords (and other entry systems), updating software, backing-up data and securing personal data. A former MIIS Cyber Graduate Research Assistant, he led trainings on cybersecurity for NGOs, teaching smart data storage.
