Elizabeth Bone is an intelligence analyst who has worked in the defense contractor community for over ten years. After three years with Booz Allen Hamilton, she spent the next seven years working for Centra Technology providing contract support to various offices in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Elizabeth will share her insights on getting a career started as a defense consultant, and will also highlight the counterterrorism work she did while working for DHS.

Dear MIIS Student, With the end of this semster rapidly approaching, we would like to take a time to: 1) go on a hiking trip to Veteran Park and/or 2) watch a movie together at Del Monte Center in the evening after 5 pm as a way to wind down together. The JET Alumni Association of Monterey Bay, with the cooperation of Japan Forum, is hosting our first ever trivia night! We will have a fun Japan-themed trivia game, accompanied by sushi, snacks, and fun times. You are also welcome to bring your own food, but no alcohol please. Prizes will be awarded to the winners!

The MIIS Geospatial Skills and Analytical Tools (GSAT) Club and the Terrorism Studies Club (TSC) hosts Captain Timothy Doorey, USN (Ret.), and his presentation on Transnational Issues in the Maritime Domain. CAPT Doorey is the Program Manager for the Center for Civil-Military Relations’ (CCMR) Maritime Security Program at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS). In this capacity CAPT Doorey works to develop and conduct educational courses for international military students on issues relevant to civil-military and multinational approaches to maritime security.
