Join MIIS students, faculty, staff, and friends in a Saturday adventure to Jack’s Peak- April 27th from 2:00-5:00pm! This is a collaboration between Sustainability Council (rep. Ola Pozor) and Language Studies Department’s 5th annual poetry week (reps. Marie Butcher & Rana Issa), where we will take moments during our easy-moderate hike to pause, reflect, and craft or read some poetry inspired by the surrounding nature. No previous poetry writing or performance required- just an open mind to be mindful and appreciate all that our Earth has to offer.
Celebrating the LGBTQ+ graduates of MIIS, May 2024! Lavender graduation ceremonies at universities across the country recognize the academic achievements and marginalized identities of LGBTQ+ students. Graduating members of the LGBTQ+ community at MIIS are invited to an off-campus dinner sponsored by QAAAM (Queers & Allies @ MIIS). With this dinner, QAAAM hopes to honor the achievements of our lavender graduates, ground them in supportive community, and inspire them to look towards the future with possibility.

All MIIS students (in-person and virtual) are encouraged to attend in person or on Zoom to provide feedback. We need your help in re-envisioning the Student Council, which is expected to launch in Fall 24! Light snacks will be provided.
In this workshop, we will give old newspapers a second life by making lovely and/or useful creations! Some of them will be used by the Garden Club for their cute plants!
