MISpeakers Club meetings aim at helping participants practice and hone their public speaking skills. The meeting has two sessions, a prepared speech session and an impromptu speech session. Each speech will be evaluated by the corresponding evaluators. Feedback of the speech also includes the reports from Grammarian, Filler Counter and Timer.

Middlebirdy invites you to a fun morning of birding with the Monterey Audubon Society! Each month, the Monterey Audubon Society (MAS) hosts a beginning birding trip at Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds. The walk will begin at 9:00 AM at the west side of the Social Hall (main lodge). The walk will introduce participants to the birds of Asilomar, tips and tricks to identify them, and guidance on how to locate and observe birds no matter where you are! The walking route will be along even, paved fully accessible pathways with places to stop and sit as well.

Join Queers & Allies @ MIIS for a cozy evening watching a movie from the unofficial queer film canon. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages provided.

Please join Middlebirdy for the Monterey Audubon Society’s monthly presentation at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History! This month’s presentation will feature Alison Vilag, a professional bird counter who is in town working on the MAS Point Pinos Seawatch Project. She has graciously offered to be the monthly speaker for November, despite her grueling schedule out on the coast. Her unique background, skill-set, and perspective on life and nature is worth hearing. Alison is also a writer, and was featured in a birding anthology called When Birds Are Near.

A fun night for Conan O’Brien Podcast fans and followers, for discussing Conan’s podcasts and other related comedy podcasts.
