6:45 PM ET

Sponsored by:: Museum of Art and Charles P. Scott Center for Spiritual and Religious Life

Come see traditional Islamic art and learn about the Hajj!

Chaplain Saifa Hussain will give a presentation about the Hajj pilgrimage. Afterwards, there will be a group walk-through of the Museum’s exhibition called “Wondrous Worlds: Art and Islam through Time and Place.” There will also be some recitation of the Qu’ran by Youssef El Berrichi, an Arabic instructor and Tajweed expert.

Nights at the Museum

6:00 PM ET

Sponsored by:: Museum of Art

This year, in addition to our usual hours, the museum will be open most Thursday evenings from 6 to 9pm during the academic year. Nights at the Museum will often feature various types of informal events, from student gallery talks to musical performances to contemplative coloring and artist-led sketching and beyond, and free refreshments will be available (while they last!). Given the less formal nature of Nights at the Museum the schedule will be constantly evolving.
