Join us for an evening of inspiration and information on strengthening local economies by growing community capital. Discover how communities can leverage existing laws to bring increased access to capital for local businesses and learn of statewide initiatives. Learn how these new laws and ideas have a positive impact on the City of Monterey, the county, and the state of California.

Laurie Lane-Zucker ‘88 is a systems thinker and seasoned founder and senior executive, impact entrepreneur and internationally recognized leader, lecturer, and spokesperson on environmental, educational, and entrepreneurial issues. Lane-Zucker will discuss the trends and booming field of impact investing, a sector he has been part of since the early days.

Annual conference hosted by the Center for Conflict Studies to exchange information and ideas between the community of scholars and the community of practitioners to better manage and resolve conflicts and simultaneously contribute to the furthering and strengthening of the field of conflict studies. MIIS Community Yoga The community yoga class offered during New Student Orientation was so well-received that we decided to continue to offer a Friday morning class — any member of the MIIS community is welcome to join us. Class will begin at 7:45 sharp and end at 8:45. Bring your mat if you have one, but loaner mats are available. This class will be taught by Rebecca Henriksen.
