Mr. Binkley is the Command Historian for the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center at the Presidio of Monterey. He first arrived at the Presidio in 2007 after working several years for the National Park Service. Binkley also held research positions at Stanford University and the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS). He is a graduate of San Francisco State University, MIIS, and the University of Denver.

Seminar for students, lunch will be served for those attending.

Simon is an Export Licensing and Nonproliferation Analyst with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s (LLNL) Nonproliferation and Arms Control Team (NPAC). Before NPAC, Simon worked as a Special Security Officer with the LLNL Field Intelligence Element and spent six years with the U.S. Army as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst. Simon holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration degree from CSU Stanislaus.
