V499 Van Buren Videoconference Rm

Open to the Public

Middlebury Language Schools are celebrating their centennial this summer! To join in this celebration, MIIS is hosting a panel which will be streamed to Middlebury so that their students and faculty might take part in the discussion. We invite you to join us for what is certain to be an enlivening discussion about the role of technology in language learning.

Where do “we” fit in?
The Human-Technology Nexus
How are technologies changing human interaction, language, and language learning? What does this mean for the way in which we conceptualize communication? How do we prepare language instructors and learners for understanding and maximizing language learning social networks, apps, and machine translation tools?

Panelist: Steven Thorne, Spence Green, Michael Elchik, Gabriel Guillen
