Open to the Public

Since the inception of Middlebury College’s Anti-Racist Task Force, the ritual of a slow walk meditation during the opening and closing of our academic terms has been integral to our communal work. The slow walk meditation embodies our individual and collective the journeys towards internal and external change. The slow walk is a way of charting our course, recalibrating our intention, practicing patience, and connecting as a community. This year our slow walk meditations will be held on Friday November 4th from 12-1 pm (meet at Old Chapel) and Wednesday May 3rd from 4-5 pm (meet at Middlebury Chapel). All are welcome. Rain or shine. No previous experience necessary. Participants can walk for any length and duration suitable to them.

This event will be lead by Christal Brown, the Director of the Middlebury College Anti-Racist Task Force and Alexander Twilight Artist in Residence.
