Roots of #BlackLivesMatter: Islam & the Civil Rights Movement
This talk explores the little known history of Muslim Americans who championed Black liberation during the civil rights era. Their vision for freedom laid a foundation for today’s abolitionists and invites us to reimagine how systemic oppression can be disrupted. Light refreshments from Taste of India will be served.
