All women and LGBTQ people that are Middlebury students, staff, and faculty are welcome to join us on Nov 9th and 10th for Feminist self-defense classes followed by a discussion on rape as a form of biopower. Class will be taught by Ruthie Brown (class of 2025.5), who is a 2nd degree black belt in Cuong Nhu and has taught self-defense in the US, Brazil, Colombia, and Nepal. Students will learn various mental and physical techniques that emerged in Cuong Nhu, Judo, Brazilian Jui Jitsu, and Kickboxing. All levels are welcome, and interested individuals can either attend both or only one of the classes (the content will vary between the two classes). If you have any questions, please reach out to ruthieb@middlebury.edu. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you!
