HOW TO WRITE A PLAY WHEN YOU’RE STUCK/FEEL LIKE YOU CAN’T/DON’T WANT TO (EVEN THOUGH YOU WANT TO)/HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GET STARTED

If you think you might want to write a play but don’t know where to begin or feel like you aren’t capable, this workshop is for you. If you’ve started a bunch of plays but never finished them, this workshop is for you. If you experience writer’s block, this workshop is for you. If you don’t like to write but want to be a playwright, this workshop is for you. If you are lazy, this workshop is for you. If inspiration visits far too infrequently, this workshop is for you. In one 90-minute session, we will do a series of exercises that will get you motivated, un-blocked, un-stuck, and inspired—exercises that will free you from your mind and help you connect to the “play” part of the word “playwright.” It won’t teach you how to write a play. But it will give you exercises that will get you started. And getting started is half the battle. Or more like 90% of the battle.

This workshop is free and open to the public. You must sign up here up here to participate.
