Carolyn Finney, PhD will present a talk as part of the Howard E. Woodin ES Colloquium Series (rescheduled from 2/13). Lunch served starting at 12:15p.

As a storyteller, author, cultural geographer and currently a Scholar in Residence at Middlebury, Finney is deeply interested in issues related to identity, difference, creativity, and resilience. Along with public speaking, writing, media engagements, consulting & teaching, she served on the U.S. National Parks Advisory Board for eight years. Her book, “Black Faces, White Spaces: Reimagining the Relationship of African Americans to the Great Outdoors” was released in 2014 (UNC Press).
