Brian Novatny Lecture

Brian Novatny will be visiting Middlebury College for a week long drawing intensive residency as a Cameron Visiting artist of the Studio Art program.
Brian Novatny earned his MFA at the Yale University School of Art in New Haven, CT (1990) and his BFA at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, OH (1987). December of 2014, Novatny exibited with ADA at The UNTITLED Art Fair 2014 (Miami Beach) and at the Inside Out Art Museum, Beijing, China. Recent solo exhibits include: Sailors Diary, Mulherin + Pollard (ada’s sister gallery in NYC) (2014), Sonoma State University Gallery, CA (2013), Sarah Moody Gallery, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL (2012). Group exibits include: Knoxville Museum of Art, TN (2010); Kulturhof Flachgasse, Speyer, GERMANY (2004).
Collections include Mississippi Museum of Art, the Columbus (OH) Museum of Art, the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, the Center on Contemporary Art (Seattle, WA), the Knoxville Museum of Arts, and the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. He is currently represented by ADA Gallery.
