We are excited to invite you to a special guest lecture featuring Mark Ward, a seasoned humanitarian leader with over two decades of experience in aid, disaster relief, and international diplomacy.

Speaker: Mark Ward — former U.S. Foreign Service Career Minister, disaster relief expert, and Chair of PARSA Afghanistan

KYG Trade will be hosting a workshop to give MIIS students first hand experience in solving trade compliance issues using their novel AI platform. Laptop required.

Join us for an evening of poetry from the upcoming multilingual anthology, Doves Born of Flames, and music—from our local MIIS community (faculty & students).

Poetry of Justice: Special Guest, Arnoldo Garcia will lead participants in a workshop, inspired and informed by principles of conflict transformation.  Arnoldo will engage us in a rich session, dedicated to transforming our language to heal conflicts. 

We invite all students from the seven T&I program languages to join the Town Hall Meeting on April 22th, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM. Supported by the SAC, the session will cover: QR Code Check-in: Fast and easy collection of attendee information. Student Discussion: Share your experiences and suggest improvements for the program. Feedback Collection: Your input matters! Please fill out feedback forms to provide valuable insights to professors, program heads, academic leaders, and SAC members.

Poetry Week 2025: Tending the Earth & Tending Each Other: Opening Ceremony

We will gather at the Peace Pole in the MIIS Community garden, compose a community poem, place painted rocks around the peace pole and read other poems related to Earth Day and expressions for peace.

M.I.I.S. Peace Corps Club invites you to celebrate the partnership between the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and the Peace Corps! Join us for a screening of the Heartland Emmy Award winning documentary, “A Towering Task,” which explores the legacy and history of the Peace Corps.
