This a social event to get to know all of the program professionals and ask questions over light snacks and beverages. Open to all professionals in attendance for the program and all interested students.

Distinguished Men of Color (DMC) and Center for Careers and Internships (CCI) invite you to join a discussion with graduating seniors. Students who attend this event will: learn from seniors about how they are preparing for the transition to life after Middlebury, learn about various career paths, and understand the importance of networking by getting some practice. A very important part of the job search is the interview with a prospective employer. Your resume helps get you in the door, but it doesn’t get you the job. You do! We will cover all aspects of the interview process including phone interviews, how to prepare for the in-person interview, questions to ask, video interviews as well as how to close the interview and follow up

Are you a searching for a summer internship or job in finance, consulting, or business? This resume workshop is for those want to improve the odds for landing interviews with leading firms and companies. If you have a draft of your resume, please bring it to this session.

The world needs people who can reach across cultural and linguistic barriers to solve our greatest challenges, from poverty to climate change. The Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) integrates language into our core curricula to ensure our graduates can pursue global careers in fields as diverse as education management, environmental policy, public administration, business, development, nonproliferation, counterterrorism, trade and more.

Meghan Barstow ‘94 will discuss the Public Relations career landscape, including the different types of roles, skills/experiences that are required and case studies providing a glimpse of the day in the life of communications careers.

The Intelligence Community’s Senior Language Authority, a graduate of the Middlebury College Spanish School and an experienced IC language analyst, will provide an overview of how foreign language is used in the IC and offer advice on how to find a job in the Community using foreign language skills.
