September 17 is Constitution Day. This day commemorates the September 17, 1787 signing of the United States Constitution. Join Middlebury College professors Murray Dry, Bert Johnson and Matt Dickinson, all faculty in the Political Science Department, to discuss American Constitutionalism. Sponsored by Professor Murray Dry and the Political Science Department, with support from CCI.

Presented by the Center for Careers and Internships and cosponsored by the history department, this History Field Guide brings alumni back to campus to share knowledge and experience related to their post-Middlebury careers and professional lives with current students. 

On Thursday alumni join us for a panel discussion. Friday morning, our alumni guests have volunteered to hold one-on-one chats with students (Sign up in Handshake) 

The world needs people who can reach across cultural and linguistic barriers to solve our greatest challenges, from poverty to climate change. The Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) and Middlebury Language Schools integrate language into our core curricula to ensure our graduates can pursue global careers in fields as diverse as education management, environmental policy, public administration, business, teaching, development, nonproliferation, counterterrorism, trade and more.

The Senior Language Authority of the Intelligence Community, who holds a master’s degree from the Middlebury College Spanish School, will provide an overview of the Community and emphasize the significant role that foreign language proficiency plays in its missions. Don Gentile will also delve into the diverse array of roles within the Community that demand foreign language skills, highlighting the expertise necessary for effective performance in these positions.
