The 2020 presidential election will determine the future landscape of policy-related careers. What if the incumbent wins? What if the challenger wins? Richard Haass P’16.5, President of the Council on Foreign Relations and Chris Matthiesen ’04, Partner at Federal Hall Policy Advisors, will discuss the foreign and domestic policy continuum represented by the two candidates’ policy prescriptions, as well as, the implications for future federal government agency, think tank, NGO, and international relation career roles.

During our informal fireside chat, Georgia Carroll ’18 will provide an overview of Marathon Capital and investment banking, describe a typical “day-in-the-life” of an investment banking analyst, and walk through a recent transaction in which Marathon Capital served as the financial advisor. She will also introduce the various opportunities available to Middlebury students at Marathon Capital and answer questions regarding the process, interviews, or anything else related to careers in investment banking and renewable energy finance.
