The Planning for Resiliency Cohort will include a Design Intern, Ecology Intern, and GIS intern. All three interns will work with the leadership at Historic New England as a cohort to undertake the second phase of a project titled Planning for Resiliency. Historic New England’s properties are, of course, subject to the same climate stressors as the surrounding region: as our 2018 intern found, between 1958 and 2010, the Northeast experienced a 70% increase in precipitation, a greater increase than any other region of the country.

Come hear a robust conversation about two popular allied health professions, nurse practitioner and physician assistant. We’ll hear from recent alumni who are currently in PA and NP schools as well as from local practitioners in both fields. You’ll learn why each panelist gravitated to their particular field-and perhaps elected not to pursue the other field-and we’ll discover what a typical day is like for a mid-level provider. There will be ample time for questions and discussion.

The Health Professions and STEM team is excited to welcome a panel of current UVM medical school students back to campus. Come hear about the application process from students who just went through the cycle. We will ask them to share what life is like in medical school; the stresses, rewards and challenges. We will hear their thoughts on whether they felt prepared both academically and emotionally for the rigors of medical school, and what they wish you had known as a Junior or Senior at Middlebury.
