diiVe: Cape Town Summer Abroad

diiVe is a high impact, summer abroad experience based in Cape Town, South Africa. We aim to create inspiring learning journeys which give us agency and connection to create the world in which we want to live.

diiVe’s Summer Program (June - August 2020) is for students looking to gain critical entrepreneurial, innovation and business skills that top organizations are looking for and to understand how to drive their personal impact in a wider, global community.

Design Your Midd Studio: Odyssey Planning

Apply the innovation principles of design thinking to the wicked problem of designing your life at and after Middlebury. You’ll create thoughtful visions of you own future and share them with your classmates and hear yourselves speak the plans, allowing you to prototype these ideas. You’ll also be heard and affirmed by peers in your hopes and dreams, and given feedback that helps you further clarify your own feelings about the prototypes.

Design Your Midd Studio: Energy Engagement Mapping

Apply the innovation principles of design thinking to the wicked problem of designing your life at and after Middlebury. Gain awareness of your own energy levels throughout the week. and of the energy ups and downs to make choices about which activities to spend time doing / how to organize time to optimize energy.

Come learn what medical schools look for in an applicant, what makes for a compelling personal statement, and how they build a medical school class!

Ford Barnet, Assistant Director for Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, will be visiting Middlebury to discuss preparing for veterinary school, the Tufts admissions process, and details about opportunities available to their DVM and master’s students.

Connect with Midd Alums at the Political Science Field Guide

Middlebury alumni who majored in Political Science will be on campus discussing their career paths and how their major made an impact on their careers after Middlebury. They can help you answer the question, “What can I do with my liberal arts major or degree?” The Political Science Field Guide will feature an alumni panel, followed by an informal dinner. At these events, you will have the chance to connect with alumni, faculty, and other students.
