This information session will cover the steps needed to find a winter-term internship, earn internship credit, and secure funding support from the CCI (limited grants available to students on financial aid OR for internships related to conflict transformation).

Students unable to attend may schedule an appointment with Amy McGlashan with questions about the Winter Term Internship process and rules, or any CCI advisor for assistance with finding a Winter Term internship.

In this session, Chinese School Associate Director and former public school teacher Mairead Harris will give an overview of the options available for aspiring language teachers who wish to work in public schools. Obtaining a credential or license is often a barrier for aspiring teachers; Mairead will walk participants through some common ways to pursue an appropriate teaching credential outside of a licensure degree program.

Mandatory Pre-Departure Internship Meeting for CCI-Funded and CCI-Sponsored Interns

This mandatory one-hour in-person training will provide information and resources for all students taking part in internships this summer that are funded or sponsored by the Center for Careers and Internships. Topics covered will include grant requirements, as well as resources and tips to help you prepare for and be successful in your internship. This session is required whether you are taking part in a remote, hybrid, or in-person internship.
