What About Summer?

Learn about internships, volunteering and employment on and off campus this summer! The Student Employment Office will provide information about finding a job on campus, the costs of living on campus (including housing and food options), and important deadlines. The Center for Careers & internships will provide information on finding or creating an internship and the Center for Community Engagement will provide information on how to find an opportunity for volunteering.

U.S. Department of State Recruitment and Outreach Officer Jim Ellickson-Brown will be available for informational interviews and conduct an information session on internships, fellowships and careers during a visit to Middlebury College Wednesday, September 25. Come listen and learn from Kevin about his experience working in the Antitrust division of the US Department of Justice. This is an informal and casual event to better understand how he navigated the application process on USAjobs, what he actually does all day in his job as a paralegal, and how is life in DC. Kevin was a psychology major, involved with the Charter House and cares about global and public health issues. Bring your questions.

Join the folks from the US Army for this Hemorrhage Clinic. This is a clinical class and practical exercise on the controlling of major hemorrhaging or bleeding, as it relates to emergency medicine. Participants will be given a pork shoulder or pork butt as their ‘patient’.
