Join our student panelists, all ROTC cadets, for a discussion about connecting a liberal arts education to national service, including military and national security. Students, faculty, parents, family at all levels, and the wider Middlebury community are invited to attend this candid, student-point-of-view discussion about connecting liberal arts education with commitments to national service, including military and national security.

Join us for a personal discussion with some of the top organizations in the service field as they discuss the realities of doing a year of service, recommendations on building the right skill sets for your application, their unique backgrounds and how to articulate your service year to future employers.

Wilderness Adventures is an outdoor travel program for student ages 12-20 years old. 2016 will mark our 44th summer in operation and we are still owned and operated by the founders, Mike and Helen Cottingham. We operate in: United States, Asia, Caribbean, South America, Central America, Europe, Oceania, Africa, and Canada. Activities include (but are not limited to): backpacking, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, language instruction, ice climbing, canoeing, sea kayaking, community service, sailing, snorkeling, surfing, SCUBA diving, mountaineering.

This session will provide students with the opportunity to learn about internships, volunteering and employment on and off campus this summer!

Learn about internships, volunteering and employment on and off campus this summer! The Student Employment Office will provide information about finding a job on campus, the costs of living on campus (including housing and food options), and important deadlines. The Center for Careers & internships will provide information on finding or creating an internship and the Center for Community Engagement will provide information on how to find an opportunity for volunteering.

Come learn what medical schools look for in an applicant and how they build a medical school class. You’ll have the opportunity to ask the UVM Team about their holistic review process and their MMI style of interviewing.
