MiddWorks Pre-Departure Dinner

A pre-departure gathering for all of the MiddWorks for Vermont summer 2025 interns to learn more about Vermont from one or two featured speakers, hear about what’s in store for interns participating in the MiddWorks program, and get to know the other interns participating in the cohort. A casual dinner will be provided.

Careers in Business Immigration Law with Mike Castiglione ‘11

Join Mike to learn about the world of business immigration and the work he does at Fragomen, a leading firm dedicated to immigration services worldwide.  Mike studied Spanish as an undergrad at Midd, and also has a master’s from the Language School.  He has his law degree from Fordham.  In this session you will learn about what business immigration law is, why Mike loves it so much, and how you should consider entering the field.  This is an informal conversation, not a recruiting event.  However, there might be opportunities in the future.

Hoshino Resorts is a Japanese hotel management company that is planning to open an authentic “onsen ryokan” (a traditional Japanese-style inn with access to hot springs) in Sharon Springs, NY, in 2028.  They are seeking applicants in the U.S. who speak or are studying Japanese and have an interest in working in Japan for a few years.  Come learn about the resort and what it is like to live in Japan.
