Creating Art Together

Come by CAT’s gallery reception that exhibits a collaborative student art installation. Join us at the Johnson Exhibit Gallery

Lynn Yan will be hosting a 2 hour storytelling event for artists to share their experiences with the craft to help inspire and encourage eachother. Any student is welcome to talk about their experience as an artist and the struggles they have overcome, such as insecurity, lack of inspiration, etc.

A two hour workshop where we will learn how to create 3D animations using a free app with Max Walters. Feel free to bring personal laptops or touchscreen devices. 

Stop by Johnson to view amazing artwork using various mediums created by your peers.  There will be delicious food available to all who stop by and browse the display.  Free and open to everyone.

Join us in celebrating our ancestors and departed loved ones on Día de los Muertos.  Meet outside the Anderson Freeman Center (Carr Hall.)  Along the procession there will be music, performances, dance, and much more. Visit: go/ddlm23 for more information. Bring along a memento of your loved one, a photo, favorite food, an object to honor your dead on the Procession… open to all!

Join Creating Art Together (CAT) for the Día de los Muertos Celebration ‘23 Paper Marigold Workshop. You will learn how to and create paper marigolds during this two hour workshop. The marigolds can be used to decorate your ofrenda for DDLM, or as pretty wallpaper for non-celebrants.

A two hour Fall themed paint and sip where CAT members can come paint/draw/make art, with drinks and snacks provided. Participants can drop in or stay the full time. The space will be decorated with a fall theme, and a fall movie will be playing on the tv in the background.

Join us for our last CAT event of the semester to celebrate art by creating artistic dumplings.
