Come and learn about careers within the GAO! Latesha Love, Director, International Affairs and Trade, and Amanda Bartine, Senior Analyst, International Affairs and Trade, will discuss the student volunteer program, student paid internships, and employment opportunities at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). They will be joined by additional colleagues virtually.

Hear from graduate students and alumni participating in prestigious job and internship opportunities through their MPA and related degree programs. Panelists discuss their experiences applying to their programs, their time in DC, and what to expect from the job/internship hunt in the nation’s capital.

Join us for a panel featuring government affairs professionals working in Washington, D.C. Panelists will share insights into their career paths, the skills that matter, bust common myths, and share what it’s really like to work in this space.

Join MIIS alum and GAO employee Sam Hinojosa and the GAO Professional Development Program’s Managing Director Sylvia Bascope for an information about GAO and PDP. GAO is an independent, nonpartisan agency that advises Congress about ways to make government more efficient, effective, ethical, equitable, and responsive. Their work covers a broad range of issues ranging from health to the environment to security issues.
