Mt. Sinai St. Luke Hospital 2018 Summer Internship

Since the middle of the 19th century, Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital has been a vital part of health care in New York City. The hospital has an in-house Language Department that is recruiting for Chinese, Russian and Spanish interns for summer 2018 to support its diverse patient population. Representatives from the hospital will review the application process and the work of the interns in this session.

Localization for the Chinese Market

Frank Wei is the CEO and President of Master Translation Services (MTS), a language service provider headquartered in China. He founded MTS in 2000. The company currently has 80 in-house linguists and seven branch offices in mainland China, Taiwan and USA. MTS ranks among the CSA Global 100 LSPs in 2017. In this session, Frank will present the current state of the localization industry in China.

This lecture will highlight critical skills that students need in preparation for the workforce of tomorrow. We will discuss each common career path briefly and then lay out the paths to entrepreneurship.
