While an active threat on campus, also called active shooter or armed threat, is unlikely, the consequences of such an incident could be tragic. Middlebury College therefore is offering faculty, staff and students the opportunity to attend a community education program to provide you with information to help you prepare your personal safety plan for this and other emergencies.

This one and a half hour training program is required for anyone who will drive a College vehicle, including rental of a College passenger vehicle or 15-passenger van. There is no cost for the class. NOTE: A driving orientation (a 1 hour review on the road) is required for 15-passenger vans and larger vehicles. You must have also had a valid state driver’s license for at least 3 years in order to drive a 15-passenger van.
