Mindful Exploration in the Garden

With Katie Dutcher, meditation teacher and Mindful Outdoor Guide

Join us for a finals week break to relieve stress through mindful connection outdoors. We’ll meet in the community garden for a Mindful Outdoor Experience: simple and powerful practices of sensory activation, mindful walking, and nature meditation will invite you to tune in to the beauty of the natural world. Let the fresh air and growing things ground you and refresh your body, mind, and spirit.

Did you know that snuggling puppies has been shown to significantly decrease your stress level? It’s a scientific fact! MIIS is teaming up with Animal Friends Rescue Project, a local nonprofit organization, which is dedicated to finding good permanent homes for abandoned, stray and abused companion animals and ending the pet overpopulation crisis. All of the puppies will be cute, fluffy, snuggly, and adoptable!
