Student Council Executive Meeting

This will be workshop on stress management available to all in the MIIS community. When harnessed effectively, stress can be a source of energy and motivation. However, all too often, we let stress build to unmanageable levels, allowing it to impact our physical and mental health. During this seminar, participants will learn about common stressors, symptoms of stress and how to respond to demands in their personal, academic and professional lives.

Need tips on managing stress in preparation for finals? Join us for a seminar presented by Eva Geidt on common stressors, symptoms of stress and how to respond to demands in your personal, academic and professional lives. Learn specific strategies for coping with stress and increase your ability to transform stress into a motivating, rather than debilitating, force in your life!

Come listen to MIIS Peace Corps Club members share stories about what life is really like in the “toughest job you’ll ever love”!

Sri Lanka has experienced at least 80,000 enforced disappearances over the past 30 years. Thousands of families still continue to search for their loved ones, without answers or a sense of closure. Join the Amnesty International Club to discuss the rich and complex history of Sri Lanka, the injustices that remain unresolved, and the global solidarity movement in honor of those who have disappeared.

The Social Democrats Club will host the local chapter of Veterans for Peace to conduct This meeting is by invitation only

The Monterey County Rape Crisis Center and the Office of Student Services present a community film screening of the Frontline documentary “Rape on the Nightshift.” This will be followed by a panel discussion on the “Criminalization of Migration and the Migrants’ Struggle for Justice. Panelists include: Dr. William Arrocha; Magnolia Zarraga, Immigration Attorney; and Majia West and Clare Mounteer from the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center.
