Celebrate an extended Earth Week with a Plant-Based (Vegan) Food Competition at the MIIS Community Garden on April 27 from 12pm-2pm. We need participants for the 3 categories: appetizer, entree, and dessert. We encourage all students, faculty, and staff to participate in the competition.
There are three requirements for the competition:
The food must be vegan.
Recipes must be provided.
The quantity of food should be enough to provide samples for 40 people.
There will be a total of 5 particpants per category.
Participants will learn to refine their ideas through this pitch workshop alongside esteemed professionals and faculty to launch new social entrepreneurship endeavors.
This workshop will be facilitated by Brad Barbeau, Ph.D. Executive Director for the Institute for Innovation and Economic Development (iiED). He is also an Associate Professor for Economics & Entrepreneurship at the College of Business at CSU Monterey Bay.
