Deborah Pembrook, of the Coalition to End Human Trafficking in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties, is coming back to MIIS and we will be airing Food Chains, a documentary about labor trafficking and the struggle for fair working rights. Following the movie, we will have a discussion with a panel of experts. Come check it out!

Korean Culture Club Meeting

This is the first ever Korean Culture Club, please come to enjoy and talk about Korean culture and eat delicious Korean food.

Japan Forum will host Karaoke Night of Spring 2017 at the DSpace of the DLC (McGowan 001). Bring snacks and your melodious voices to share. Songs in any language are welcome. No skill required! Open for the MIIS community.

Student Services and Diversity and Inclusion Committee will be hosting Jasmine Rand, J.D., attorney for the Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown families to discuss the Modern Civil Rights Movement. In this talk, Rand will share her insight as a civil rights attorney, past and present, and the challenges of injustice and inequality that she has fought for on behalf of her clients.

Join us for a welcome potluck for everyone interested in Japan and Japanese culture to socialize and play some games Participants should bring some food or drink to share. Join us to celebrate the end of the year and graduations. The potluck hosted by Japan Forum and JETAAMB. All those interested in Japan or the Japanese language are welcome.
