Join the MIIS Veterans Organization for a networking event to meet Middlebury (College and Institute) veteran alumni and the Midd Vets Give Back mentoring and networking organization. We will also have a guest presentation from Mike Heaney, Vietnam veteran, who has worked with Ken Burns for documentaries about his Vietnam experience. This is also an opportunity to meet current Middlebury students who aspire to work in military or public service.

In the expectation of the Spring Break, we are holding the first Cantonese Karaoke Night this Saturday at 7pm Mar 13th PT. We will use the mobile app WeSing for this virtual hangout. Join Mira Immigrant Rights Alliance on Friday, March 12 @4PM PST for a live exchange of international cuisine. The first episode will feature MIRA President (Chris Baca), and Communications Coordinator (Lameese Madi)— where Lameese will show Chris how to make a delicious and HEALTHY North African Shakshuka! The ingredients for the recipe have already been posted on MIRA’s Instagram page– attendees who follow along with the recipe and share it on Instagram using #MiraWhosCooking will compete to win $25!

The third Cantonese Lesson delivered by Cantonese at MIIS will cover more Cantonese collocations, offer opportunities for practices, and introduce another two Cantonese artists.

Join the MIIS Veterans Organization for our Veteran Resources Information Session! We will be hosting several speakers from the Monterey region who will provide information to students and their families about the resources available to them as veterans, both in general and in the local Monterey area. This session will include time for Q&A’s and contact information for students wishing for additional resources and information.
