Student Success Series - Mindfulness to Cultivate Awareness of the Body

Mindfulness is a way of being that is present, curious, accepting, and kind. When we exist in our bodies consciously and nourish ourselves mindfully, we are accessing a way of being that is present with, informed by, and compassionate toward our direct experience. In this workshop we’ll offer a brief introduction to mindfulness and experience practices of body awareness and mindful eating. Please bring a few bites of lunch or a snack for your practice! This workshop is offered as part of the Student Success Series through Student Services.

Vinyasa Flow

Instructor Noemi is an avid yogi who focuses on functional and sustainable movements. Her 45 minute vinyasa-style power flows challenge through creative incorporation of breath work, core and balance. Noemi is a 200-hr Certified Yoga Teacher and has completed two Trauma-Informed Yoga Trainings and several Recovery-Oriented Mindfulness and Yoga trainings. Join her on Sundays and Wednesdays for Vinyasa Flow! (open to students, staff, and faculty)
