Happy Hour at Bull & Bear Taproom on Alvarado Street Co-Hosted by Terrorism Studies Club (TSC) and the MIIS Cyber Security Working Group (CSWG) from 5-9 PM. All students and staff welcome!

Open meeting for those who want to see Toastmasters inner workings in action, and space to ask any questions about the different roles at play for future meetings: Gen. Evaluator, Table Topics, Grammarian, Timer, Ah Counter, etc.

MIIS Toastmasters is hosting a happy hour fundraiser at Bull & Bear in downtown Monterey from 5-9pm. There will be $2 draft beer, $4 well drinks, $5 wine, and happy hour food prices (between $4-6).

Celebrate the universal language of the arts: poetry, art, and music, as we amplify voices from the African diaspora and feature the following artists:
• Queen Tay –Poet and activist whose ancestral roots are from Nigeria
• Nicholas Sironka–Batik artist and master storyteller from Kenya
• Ekene Music (Richard/Ekene Nworah–MIIS alum and musician) from Nigeria
• Master Drummer Abdoulaye Diallo (from Senegal) with his performance group Tam Tam Sacrée

Join CSWG and the Nuclear Policy Club for an exploration of AI, cyber, nuclear stability, escalation, and deterrence. CNS post-doctoral fellow James Johnson will provide insights into the implications that might arise from integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into strategic forces and nuclear command and control. Scenarios of unintended escalations, strategic destabilization, autonomous technology, and supercharged AI cyber guns acting without a restraining human hand will serve as a thought-provoking and highly topical talk.
