ANC invites Stella’s Girls Inc. Founder and President, Kaprece James to discuss with us about the organization and work they are doing in the community. Stells’a Girls empowers and educates young woman between the ages of 12-30 to become leaders by providing leadership development, one-on-one mentorship, and access to advanced education opportunities. Mrs. James will discuss the mission of the organization and any questions about their work.

Shotokan Karate Class for Students

The MIIS Shotokan Karate class trains in traditional Japanese Karate-Do and is open to all MIIS students, including those who are here for the summer only. Training includes basics (kihon), form training (kata), and sparring (kumite). Training develops physical strength, flexibility, endurance, stamina, self-discipline and self-defense. No experience necessary! Wear workout clothes or a White Karate Gi, Please do not wear jewelry and strong perfume. Bring a water bottle – you’ll sweat and need to hydrate.
