In this class, students will learn the basics of Japanese Karate (punching, striking, kicking) and its practical application in common self-defense scenarios. In addition to the physical components of self-defense, we will discuss the elements of self-defense and how the law defines those elements. This will include discussing the legal concepts of assault and battery. The overall goal of this class is to develop awareness (situational and physical), confidence, and risk prevention. Expect to sweat a bit so wear your workout clothes.
