Our discussions second semester generally focus on topics that might help with aspects of leadership and work environments.

James Plotts has spent a career working in intelligence analysis and foreign policy. A Foreign Service Officer for many years, James also spent much of his career practicing intelligence analysis and training analysts within the Intelligence Community. As a MIIS graduate, James is well suited to answer students’ questions surrounding the practice of intelligence analysis and the differences between working for the IC and other parts of the government. Join the Terrorism Studies Club and Women In International Security for what promises to be an enlightening discussion.

Please join the INMM club for our first meeting of the semester. Pizza will be provided! We will be introducing new club leaders and going over our schedule for the semester.

Join us at our first networking session and fundraiser of the year! We will be at Cibo Restaurant in downtown Monterey. Money raised from food and beverage proceeds goes towards our club to pay for other events, such as speakers or field trips.

Join us for our first club meeting of the year! We will introduce students to the Club and the national organization INMM. We will discuss the events and activities planned for this semester and get a survey of other events students may want to have.

Join us for our last fundraiser of the semester and take a break from studying for finals! Happy hour is from 4-8pm. Funds go to INMM memberships for students and field trip expenses.

Come join WIISMIIS and the Financial Crimes Club to welcome Erin O’Loughlin, Senior Manager of the FIU – Cyber Intelligence Unit at Western Union, as she speaks about her time working in both the federal government and the financial crimes industry, and how she has used her financial crime investigation skills in both the public and private sectors. Food will be provided.

Impact Lab will be hosting a Consulting 101 lecture to introduce students to the concepts and practices of the consulting industry. Students can learn how their skills and interests can be of use on consulting projects. Student may be able to join a new or continuing consulting project.

Join us for an info session with immigration attorney Alexander Carl, partner at Bolour / Carl Immigration Group, APC. He will give information for international students who want to stay in the U.S. after graduation and answer any questions students may have regarding immigration.
