Celebrating the LGBTQ+ graduates of MIIS, May 2024! Lavender graduation ceremonies at universities across the country recognize the academic achievements and marginalized identities of LGBTQ+ students. Graduating members of the LGBTQ+ community at MIIS are invited to an off-campus dinner sponsored by QAAAM (Queers & Allies @ MIIS). With this dinner, QAAAM hopes to honor the achievements of our lavender graduates, ground them in supportive community, and inspire them to look towards the future with possibility.

A Cooking Event with Fun-guys and Fungi! Join us for an evening of culinary exploration as we learn to cook with an array of mushrooms. From portobellos to oyster and lions mane, discover new flavors and recipes to elevate your cooking. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned chef, come join us for a relaxed and enjoyable cooking experience!

Hear it from the frontlines and join us for a fireside chat with AI developer and expert Gary Wright, in conversation with the CSWG about the opportunities and cyber risks associated with the growing AI integration into national security.

Middlebirdy invites you to a fun pizza and movie night in the library! We will watch the documentary “Dancing with the Birds” while enjoying some delicious food. Our screening will take place in the DVD room in the library. We hope to see you there!

 

Curious about what is happening with student voice and governance at MIIS? Join the Student Leadership Task Force as they present their research, findings, and suggestions for a more sustainable Student Council model.

All MIIS students (in-person and virtual) are encouraged to attend in person or on Zoom to provide feedback. We need your help in re-envisioning the Student Council, which is expected to launch in Fall 24! Light snacks will be provided.
