Come together for a day of environmental stewardship at our Beach Cleanup event with the Surfrider Foundation! This event is a chance to contribute to our environment while creating a bond with our community during Earth Week. Will take place at McAbee Beach on Cannery Row.

This is a hybrid meeting. Some of our members will join in online. We would need a room with zoom access where members can connect.

In honor of Earth Week, Aquatic Activities Club is partnering with the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club for a day out on the beautiful waters of the Monterey Bay. Join experienced sailors to get a taste of what it’s like to sail in Monterey, and learn basic skills! Note: Basic swimming ability is required to join this event as a safety measure.

Join us on March 27th at the the East Village Cafe as the sun sets and the feasting begins! The celebration will begin at 7:30pm and catered with Middle Eastern cuisine.

The event offers a chance to socialize and make new connections across programs. Following the meal, we’ll engage in playing board games and watching the musical “Come From Away”. This occasion is more than just a movie night; it’s an opportunity to step away from our pressure, connect with fellow students and faculty, and immerse ourselves in a story that uplifts and inspires.

“Neoliberal Encroachments: Indigenous Struggles Over Land Rights and the Environment in the Amazon Region” Presented by Dr. Ashli Berktay.

Dr. Asli Berktay, a historian of Latin American (and Atlantic World) Studies at Texas A&M International in Laredo. She is from Turkey and trained in Latin American History at Tulane University in New Orleans.
