We are thrilled to share Middlebirdy’s first outing of the semester! Please join us for an exciting morning of birding in beautiful Pacific Grove. We will start our adventure at El Carmelo Cemetery observing songbirds and raptors, and continue to Point Pinos to admire seabirds. For those who do not have a pair of binoculars, we will have a few pairs for birders to borrow during the trip!

Join the Peace Corps Club for a Story Jam to hear stories from MIIS Returned Peace Corps Volunteers about their most memorable experiences from service. Refreshments will be provided.

Stop by the Simoneau House for an informal focus group about student leadership at MIIS. Members of the Student Leadership Task Force will be present to guide the discussion. Share your thoughts about what you envision for the future, and help us plan the next chapter of student governance at MIIS!

This will be MIIStic Yoga’s first gathering with an opening ceremony and discussions around yoga followed by a dynamic practice.

We will be playing board games, card games, having a good time!

Please join the International Cultural Gatherings Club, in collaboration with the Monterey Museum of Art, for a screening of two documentaries from the Kathmandu International Film Festival. Our mini festival will take place on November 17th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Irvine Auditorium at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and is open to the public. The screening is complimentary to the ongoing exhibition of Tsherin Sherpa’s work at the Monterey Museum of Arts.
