The Performing Jazz Workshop presents a program of selections from the Jazz repertoire, showcasing the results of the workshop’s focus on improvisation and ensemble interplay.

A beneficiary evening of Ukrainian music, poetry, dance, and culture, organized by Masha Makutonina ‘21 in partnership with the MAC and the Department of Music. Performers include Middlebury College students Rostyk Yarovyk, Mariia Dzholos, Kayla Schwartz, Teddy Best, and Andriiana Ilkiv; Middlebury Union High School exchange student Diana Herasim; bandura players Teryn Kuzma and Stephan Zaets; members of the Middlebury College and College-Community choirs; vocalists Jeffrey Buettner and Jessica Allen; fiddler David Gusakov; and more.

Curious about what it takes to write a song? Want to improve your songwriting? Pete Francis ‘99, of the band Dispatch, will be speaking about his journey and process as a songwriter. Come learn from a seasoned songwriter about his craft, and walk away inspired to write something of your own.

Featuring Hilari Farrington (Irish harp, button accordion), Benedict Koehler (Irish uilleann pipes, whistles), Dominique Dodge (Scottish & Irish harp, voice), and Timothy Cummings (Scottish pipes, whistles) with host Jeff Buettner and special guests.

Join Rohini Prabhakar and Madison Middleton as they explore relationships through a series of duets. This show is part of Rohini’s 500 work in music performance. All are welcome!

The annual co-production of Town Hall Theater and the Middlebury College Dept. of Music is always a much-anticipated event. This year, with the recent death of the man who changed the art form forever, the show takes on a new poignancy. Directed by Douglas Anderson, with musical direction by Carol Christensen.
