The month of June marks the Middlebury Institute’s birthday: the articles of incorporation of the Monterey Institute of Foreign Studies are dated 9 June 1955, and were filed with the Monterey County Clerk on 17 of June. That means this month, we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Institute. Since then, the Institute has changed its name several times and expanded its footprint in Monterey (and beyond).
