Women in Health Sciences

Discussion and Q&A with Katie Merrick! Learn about her experience on the pre-health track at Middlebury, why she chose to pursue dentistry, her path to dental school, and her public health background. She will also discuss medical-dental integration. 

This event is an opportunity for underclassmen interested in STEM to ask upperclassmen STEM majors about their majors, experiences, internships, future plans, advice, and any other help. It will be in the format of a brief panel and Q & A session. Zoom password is WIHS

Dr. Seaman is a parasitic disease expert (and a Middlebury alum!) who works in South Sudan and in Indigenous communities in rural Alaska. By adapting the tools of 21st-century medicine to address the needs of those in abject poverty, Seaman serves as a pioneering authority on how to provide life-saving medical care in all but impossible conditions. Woman in Health Sciences will be holding a virtual lecture and Q&A panel to discuss her work.
