In response to learning about the suicides of several teen girls who had experienced slut-shaming and bullying, filmmaker Emily Lindin, herself a victim of sexual shaming, decided to publish her diaries from age 11 to 14 online. From this, the Unslut project and 40-minute documentary evolved. The film includes stories from people of different genders, backgrounds and nationalities. Q&A with filmmaker immediately following the event.

Distinguished Men of Color (DMC) and Women of Color (WOC) will be hosting their annual Kickoff BBQ to welcome first years and get them connected to the rest of campus. There will be food, music and an opportunity to chat with other students.

brASS: Brown RadicalAss Burlesque is a multi-disciplinary performance troupe from NYC that uses our unique perspectives as women of color as a lens to the myriad of issues we are faced with in society. Through celebrations of our politicized bodies, we are making politics sexy and empowering audiences to value their own stories and use their creativity towards collective action. We encourage a disruption of passive consumption of art and wish to focus our performance as an instrument to re-imagine our society.
