Gregorio Amaro has over three decades of experience in the graphic design industry. He has led design teams in both North and South America and has worked on a diverse range of projects from identity systems, periodical design, packaging to exhibits, digital games, and web sites. Currently serving as creative director at Middlebury College since September 2022, Gregorio and his team of talented designers are responsible for overseeing the design layout and visual impact of marketing materials, products and publications. Previously, Gregorio held the role of creative director at Dartmouth College for two decades, overseeing communication design projects and leading design teams. Earlier career positions include art director at Outside Magazine, Goyo Design and Northeastern University, where responsibilities included serving various sectors, from Latino arts organizations to educational institutions. Gregorio holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Arts in Graphics/Packaging Design from ArtCenter College of Design, along with additional certifications in UX Design from General Assembly and Business Perspectives for Creative Leaders from Yale School of Management.
When not pushing a mouse, Gregorio pushes himself to ride up Washington State mountain roads on his gravel bike to take in spectacular views and sunsets.
