Software Requests
New academic software requests in for the last three fiscal yers were not approved and so there is currently no funding for new academic software. We do not know if additional funding will be provided for any requests in FY 23-24.
Timeline
To help ensure that funding is available for software, new software requests are aligned with Middlebury’s budget request and approval cycle. Submissions received by December 22, 2022 will be submitted as part of the 2023-2024 budget request cycle. Approval of new software funds is not guaranteed and rests at the discretion of the Finance Office.
Areas of Evaluation
The software evaluation process examines software through the lenses of privacy, security, and accessibility. The purpose of these evaluations is to ensure that software is safe and accessible and meets our students and faculty needs.
