#ProofPointDay
ProofPoint: (prüfˈpȯint/noun) Process of showing something is possible.
#ProofPointDay is a nationwide celebration to recognize those who are the first in their family to attend a 4-year college. At Middlebury, we come together every year to celebrate the wonderful first-generation college students on our own campus.
These are a few of many first-gen faces at Midd, who shared what being first-gen means to them.
“It’s developing the resilience to continue, and finding the strength that we’ve always had within us.”
“Being first generation is difficult, and I want to make sure that those after me know that they are not alone.”
“It’s tied to so much of who I am and why I am here.”
