Kelsey joined the sports medicine staff in the fall of 2021. A native of Essex, Vermont, Kelsey comes to Middlebury from Seattle Children’s Hospital where he was the head athletic trainer at Nathan Hale High School. He also served as a CPR instructor and exercise specialist in the Fatty Liver Clinic within the hospital.



During his time at Nathan Hale High School, he provided care for the schools 24 varsity teams and 5 club teams. He received the NATA Safe Sports School First Team Award for Nathan Hale High School, meeting all domains of health and safety for secondary school athletics. He also developed and implemented injury prevention and performance enhancement programs for the high school’s teams and supported the Athletic Director’s role in organizing athletics events.



In 2017, Kelsey earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Vermont in 2017 followed by his master’s degree in exercise science and health promotions from California University of Pennsylvania in 2018.

Sport Responsibilities: Fall Golf, Fall Tennis, Men’s Ice Hockey, Men’s Lacrosse
