Working with data is an essential skill for students in many disciplines to learn, and there are librarians who can help you in developing lessons, creating assignments, suggesting resources, and running workshops on a variety of data-related topics. Topics that librarians have taught include foundational computer skills such as the Unix shell, finding and evaluating data sources, working with data in statistical and GIS software, data cleaning and manipulation, data visualization, introductory text mining, and data management and curation. Librarians have worked with students and faculty from across many different departments, working with both quantitative and qualitative data.
